Basketball Rebound Net

If you practice shooting basketball by yourself then using a basketball rebound net is the only way to increase the number of shots that you take while you practice. Don’t spend your time chasing the ball all around the gymnasium or waiting for it to come back to you after you make the shot. Use one of these tools to help you practice more efficiently and get the most out of the time you spend becoming a better shooter.

Basically there are two types of basketball rebound nets: ones that attach to the backboard and ones that attach to the rim. There are pluses and minuses to each one so let’s take a look at the backboard attachment ones first.

Basketball Rebound NetTypes of Basketball Rebound Net

Backboard attached rebound net – These ones are quite big. They need to be so that they catch the balls and return them to the shooter. They are a little difficult to set up with one person but it can be done. Also, if possible, it is easier to leave it set up all the time so you don’t waste your time putting it up and taking it down.

Primarily these are used for shooting drills that are straight away from the basketball hoop. Free throws, three pointers and elbow jumpers are the most common shots you’ll shoot. Taking shots from the corners are a little more difficult with this set up as the net usually only directs the ball one direction – forward.

The price of these systems can range from about $50 to over $200 or more. Depending on how often you use it this basketball rebound net could be a good investment.

Rim attached rebound net – Another option is a rim attached version. Although not exactly a rebound net these devices do the same job. Attached to the rim by hooks these rebounders return the ball to you after you make a shot. These are great for free throws and three pointers (if you make them!).

These rebounders are easier to take on and off and can be handled by one person with no difficulty. Some off these have a directional funnel that will let you shoot from the corners unlike the bigger nets.

Basketball Rebound Net Costs

The prices of these nets are very reasonable. Just about all of your options are priced under $50 and should last a long time. These are ideal for the player that wants to shoot more shots by themselves but doesn’t want to spend a ton of money on something.

A basketball rebound net can help individuals and teams get better by allowing them to shoot more shots in the same amount of practice time. Find the rebound net that works for you and then get practicing!
